Still Loved Still Missed by Mridula- Review

Still Loved Still Missed is a collection of short stories. The stories are unconventional yet simple, endearing yet thought-provoking. The stories are poetic prose.

The prime mention is to be given to the style of narration. It is quite palpable and engaging. The author has an inclination toward nature. Most of the stories including the title story are about inhuman or nonliving things but the author has succeeded in making them the characters and successfully connected the readers with them.

There is an inconsistency when it comes to the different stories but the readers will be surely glued to the book. It is said that we should not judge a book by its cover. This comes true when it comes to this book. The cover and the size of the book force the readers to judge it as a negligible piece but on a further foray into the literary world, the author proves her mettle. The book could be given to the little readers as many of the stories have a moral- be it the life of Sepal, or a coracle or spider s, all carry a message and hence recommended to the little readers as well.
