The plot unveils with the brutal rape and murder of successful actress and heartthrob Hiya Sen, within a fortnight of her wedding. Her husband Manav Chauhan and driver are beaten unconscious. Days after the schocking murder, the culprits are arrested. Another worm is let out when the culprits claim the attack to be premeditated and a contract work. ACP Agni is assigned the case post the revelation. His investigation brings forth several suspects, the prime among the to be actress Rituja who had a tiff with Hiya, Actor Mayank Kapoor Hiya’s fling before marriage, Neha Awasti who was Manav’s Ex-fiancee and Mr. Awasti, Neha’s father. Agni’s investigation reaches a dead end with numerous suspects and no evidence. It is then that two more murders bring a new light to the investigation.


I would like to tag this book as futuristic since a similar incident has happened in Malayalam Film Industry, an allegation of contract rape. Hence the whole plot is imaginative realistic and futuristic. The character craft is the highlight of the book. The idiosyncrasies of the character are depicted tangibly. The numerous affairs, the pub life, the splendor and the underlying mystery is portrayed well. 


The suspense revolving behind the culprit was predictable or at least I guessed it right but the reason behind the crime was the real hero. It was not only unpredictable but novel as well. This might be my personal experience. Rituja’s character portrayal was misogynistic, cliched and hence a turn off. A woman or a wannabe star letting off her saree pallu to invite someone to her bedroom is a worked, overworked and
